JENNY MARIE BULLET JOURNAL

My inspiration and techniques for the contents of the bullet journal came from Jenny Marie. I liked how she included information sections about how she felt throughout the week, what was hard, and how she will move forward for the next week. I implemented some of these techniques in my own bullet journal. You can see my bullet journal in the link below!

AMANDA LEE BULLET JOURNAL

My inspiration and techniques from the bullet journal spread came from YouTuber Amanda Lee specifically her fruit theme spread. I incorporated a lot of her same designs and sections in my own bullet journal as shown below in the link provided.

Attention

I learned that art therapy experiments have a lot of variables associated with it which is why it was important for me to find literature supporting art therapy projects on college students using a way to record their data through surveys. I need more data and subjects to test these projects to truly find the most effective projects, since everyone will have a different outlook on each individual project.

WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT RESEARCH METHODS

Featured below are the Google Forms that I used as a pretest/posttest in order to measure the contents and stress related to each activity. The google form on the left is the form I filled out, and the Google Form on the right is the form the STEM subjects used to record each activity and other content.

WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT RESEARCH METHODS

The following descriptions are how I completed each project, for more information regarding the final picture of the activity click on the button below

SEWING

I got a pair or boring blue jeans I had in my closet and added five flower stitches to them to make the jeans more fun. I followed a simple flower loop stitch from youtube and used light colored thread; orange, pink, cream, and yellow, to stitch the flowers. The materials used were colored thread, a needle, and my jeans.

PLAYING GUITAR

I picked up my acoustic guitar that I had at home and practiced different songs with the chords and strumming patterns that I knew previously.

PAINTING

I used a small white canvas and acrylic paint to paint the letters and the Maryland map. I used an outline to trace the map onto the canvas from online.

AROMATHERAPY

I tested 5 different happy/stress relieving oil scents in my oil diffuser as my aromatherapy project. I sat in my room and tested each scent.

COLORING

I printed out a semi-complex coloring page from google of the sun and moon and colored it using crayola markers. i tried to color each section using a theme of colors, such as warm or cool toned colors.

JOURNALING

I used my arts scholars notebook to record all 0f my feelings, emotions, stressors, and miscellaneous information regarding my day.

EXERCISING/YOGA

I completed a circuit of different exercises and recorded my workout on my Apple Watch. The exercise consisted of running for cardio, strength exercises which included lifting weights, and a short ab circuit to finish.

MEDITATING

I followed an hour long guided meditation video from youtube that focused on relieving stress and tension from my body by relaxing and isolating each part of my body.

LISTENING TO MUSIC

I created a playlist on Spotify that featured all of the songs that correspond to each emotion. So I included a song that I listen to when I am happy, sad, frustrated, angry, content, stressed, excited, getting pumped, etc.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I captured a very vibrant and colorful picture of the sunset one day when I went to get my brother from practice. I watched the entire sunset and it put me at ease.

BULLET JOURNAL

I created the bullet journal as a more fun and engaging way to try out and record your feelings and stress after completing each activity for the future. It is fruit themed because fruit has been linked to significantly decreasing levels of stress in people. I came up with the contents fo the bullet journal from Jenny Marie who shares her experience with a bullet journal in maintaining her stress, and Amanda Lee for her fruit spread idea as well as other contents in the journal as shown above.
